Do You Fit Your IT Stereotype

August 31st, 2010

There are stereotypes for different professions in all types of industries. The IT industry is no different with its vast array of characters. Thomas Wailgum, a writer for CIO.com, has decided to take a tongue-and-cheek look at some of these stereotypes in a rather comical way. He even takes a shot at himself in the end. It’s a pretty entertaining read.

Here is his list of the 10 most loathsome technology types:

Social Media Expert

Vendor Marketing EVP

Venture Capitalist

The Influencer

PR Maven

Industry Analyst

Blogger

Tech CEO

Programmer / Coder

Tech Journalist

To find out if you fit your position’s stereotype according to Wailgum, read his article entitled “Influence This: 10 Loathsome Technology Industry Types” on CIO.com.
