Driving Business Value Through Technology: Historical Lessons & Future Implications is the title of this week’s IMF web forum. Throughout history, societies have demonstrated time and time again how technology can be a strategic advantage. In the modern world, that same premise holds true for businesses. Mark Guidi, a Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, is going to discuss the three main components of technology: Innovation, Adaptability, and Quality. He will show participants that performing well in those three areas can generate value which will further drive business and society at-large.
For each of the three components Mark will reflect back on history and some of the cultures who were masters in each of these areas. He’ll discuss some examples of what they did brilliantly and other practices that did not work out so well. Then the presentation will shift focus to some corresponding modern examples. Finally, Mark will speak on how some of these newer technologies are changing the world and driving new business models for organizations.
The Web Forum will take place Thursday, June 14th, at 2:00 PM EST. IMF members can register and take part by clicking here.
